Located in Atlantic County, Augustine Residence is in close proximity to many AA and
NA meetings. Peers encourage each other to attend these meetings. Certain
evenings they will gather at Augustines to hear speakers share their recovery
experience. Residents are encouraged to support and work with one another.
Chores are assigned to each resident.
Augustine Residence is an aftercare community residence of the TRANSITION HOUSE Inc.
a non-profit corporation for the purpose of helping people in a three
quarter aftercare program commonly referred to as a Sober House. A philosophy of
spiritual growth through helping others and taking actions in one's recovery.
Augustine Residence has a working relationship with the premier sober living
facility for men and women who want to make recovery a way of life...Augustine works to provide a
drug-free family environment, in which peers offer support to each other and
lead sober lives through involvement in 12 step participation.
To give residents the opportunity to gain confidence and support each other,
AUGUSTINE'S encourages residents, as a group, to plan and organize events, such
as dinners, cookouts, social functions and gatherings. They are also encouraged
to invite families to visit with them and their friends at AUGUSTINE RESIDENCE.
At least one group meeting is required at each week. Sharing, caring and
believing brings individuals together.
